Indoor - Secured First Team All-American honors in his final indoor heptathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championships, jumping from non-scoring ninth place to a seventh-place finish (5,781 points) by coming in third in the heptathlon 1000 meters with a new personal record in the event (2:36.23)...Earned the No. 4 NCAA qualifying mark in the heptathlon (5,866 points)...Opened in the heptathlon with the No. 4 mark nationally (5,866 points) in a victory at the Razorback Invite, claiming wins in the 60 meters (6.90), 1000m (2:37.42) and the pole vault (15 feet, 5 inches)...Led the heptathlon at the SEC Indoor Championships through five events with a score of 4,107 points, but pulled out of the competition with an injury after the heptathlon 60m hurdles...Finished third in the pole vault (14-11) in the season opener at the Orange & Purple Invitational...Named to the J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics Honor Roll for Fall 2017.
2017: Outdoor – Took third in the open pole vault at the Torrin Lawrence Memorial after reaching 15 feet, 9 inches and was fourth in the discus (139-5)…Finished second in the decathlon at the SEC Championships after scoring 7,948 points…Started the NCAA Championships but could not finish the decathlon because of an injury…Scored a season-best tally of 8,025 to take 13th at the IAAF World Championships in London.
Indoor – Opened his year by finishing third in the heptathlon at the Razorback Invite with 5,796 points…Scored 5,731 points for third place at the SEC Championships…Won the hep long jump at SECs with the seventh-best mark in UGA history at 24 feet, 11 ¼ inches…Earned a First Team All-America certificate in the heptathlon after taking third with 6,051 points, which ranks third on the school’s all-time top-10 list.
2016: Outdoor - Qualified for the Olympic Games after hitting the standard with 8,108 points to win the Bulldog Decathlon...Scored for UGA at the NCAA Championships with a seventh-place finish in the decathlon (7,934)...While recovering from an injury, finished 23rd in the Olympics after scoring 7,223 points.
Indoor - Took third in the Heptathlon at the Razorback Invitational with a score of 5,686 points...Placed second at his first SEC Championships with 5,792 points in the heptathlon...Ran a 6.87 during the 60-meter dash portion of the heptathlon at the SEC Championships, which was a meet record...Finished seventh at the NCAA Championships with a season-best score of 5,856...His 60-meter dash (6.78) at the NCAA Championships was a team-best for the season and placed him 10th overall on the school's all-time list in the race.
2015: Outdoor & Indoor - Redshirted for the Bulldogs.
New Orleans (2014): Finished fifth in the decathlon at the Texas Relays after scoring a personal-best 7,497, which topped the school record by more than 1,400 points... Finished third in the decathlon at the Southland Outdoor Championships with a total of 6,785 points, taking top honors in five of 10 events...Became the first national qualifier in Privateers history by competing in the decathlon at NCAA Outdoor Championships, but an injury in the first event forced him out of the competition...Personal-best mark of 5,598 in the heptathlon, 10.54 in the 100-meter dash, 24 feet, 3 inches in the long jump, 4:26 in the 1500 and 1:58 in the 800.
High School: Was fifth at the 2012 World Junior Championships...Finished eighth at the 2011 European Junior Championships...Placed third in the 60-meter at the 2013 Estonian Indoor Championship...Finished second in the heptathlon at the Under-23 Estonian Championship...Also played volleyball in high school.
Personal: Born August 6, 1993...Son of Priidik Saluri and Iiris Saluri...Father, Priidik, has been a world champion in Indiaca, which is a game similar to volleyball but played with a shuttlecock...Has five siblings...Current teammate Maicel Uibo was his best friend growing up...Majoring in Food Industry Marketing & Administration.
