2020: Indoor – Had a season-best time of 56.38 to take 15th in the 400-meter dash at the Razorback Invitational…Ran on the 11th-place distance medley relay team at the SEC Championships as the quartet registered an 11:42.12.
Baylor University (2016-19): Part of 2019 First Team All-American 4x400-meter relay team outdoors…Ran a leg on Big 12 champion relays in 2018 (outdoors 4x100m, 4x400m) and in 2019 (indoors 4x400m)…Earned eight-time All-Big 12 honors…Personal-best times of 52.68 (outdoor 400m), 53.03 (indoor 400m) and 23.78 (outdoor 200m).
High School: Set a state record and won the GHSA AA title in the 400m and was second in the 200m…Runner-up in the 200m and 400m to help lead the Lions to a state team championship…Won the 2013 National AAU 400m title as a freshman…Won a state title as a freshman as well…Earned the 2016 Foot Locker Scholar Athlete Award…Also played basketball at Lovett.
Personal: Born May 31, 1988…Daughter of Shaun Powell and Terry Powell…Earned a Journalism bachelor’s degree with a minor in French at Baylor University and is working on her Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication.
