Adaejah Hodge Appointed As Member To NCAA SAAC

ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia track and field's Adaejah Hodge has been appointed as a member of the NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advocacy Committee (SAAC) after producing one of the most dominant indoor/outdoor performances in collegiate track and field history.
As a member of the committee, Hodge and her fellow members will agree to the following from now through Aug. 31, 2028:
• Sustain and advance the Association's mission, traditions, values and reputation.
• Regularly participate in committee meetings and videoconferences, prepared and well informed.
• Disclose promptly and fully any potential or actual conflicts of interest, and personally maintain exemplary ethical standards.
• Commit to serve the Association as a whole rather than any part of it or any personal or political cause.
• Support the consensus of the committee after fully exercising the responsibility to debate and disagree.
• Maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate.
• Serve as an advocate for the Association while only speaking publicly on behalf of the committee as authorized to do so consistent with the NCAA Speaking Agent Policy.
Georgia football's Chris Conley is the only other student-athlete from UGA to ever serve on the NCAA DI SAAC (2012-14).
Hodge, who was born in the British Virgin Islands before transitioning to Douglasville, Ga., has been named a finalist for The Bowerman (collegiate track and field's version of the Heisman Trophy) and was a finalist for the Honda Award for track and field after helping lead Georgia to the 2026 indoor and outdoor NCAA team titles. She was named the Southeastern Conference Indoor & Outdoor Women's Freshman Runner of the Year and garnered honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as the Indoor & Outdoor South Region Women's Track Athlete of the Year as well as the Outdoor National Women's Track Athlete of the Year.
Hodge set collegiate records in both the 100-meter dash (10.63) and the 200m (21.68) at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships en route to winning the 200m crown and earning runner-up honors in the 100m. In addition, the 2026 SEC outdoor champion ran a leg on the bronze medal 4x100m relay team as the quartet became the No. 4 all-time collegiate performer.
Indoors, Hodge took over the No. 4 spot on the collegiate all-time performer's list in the 200m while winning an individual title in the event at the NCAA Championships. The 2026 SEC indoor 200m champion also earned a silver medal in the 60m at Nationals to help deliver the Lady Bulldogs' nine-point victory.
Following her first collegiate season competing, Hodge smoked the field at the 2026 Commonwealth Games this summer with a meet record 22.01 before winning the title thanks to a 22.07.
