James Cambronne
James Cambronne is in his first season on the Georgia Basketball staff as a graduate manager.

Cambronne was a standout at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont, before playing professionally in Europe and South America from 2015-19.

Cambronne was a four-year lettterwinner and two-year starter at Saint Michael’s. He averaged double digits in each of his last three seasons with the Purple Knights, including 11.2 ppg as a sophomore, 16.0 ppg as a junior and 12.4 ppg as a senior. Among Saint Michael’s all-time career leaders, Cambronne ranks No. 2 in blocked shots (150) and No. 4 in 3-point percentage (.405). He earned All-Northeast-10 Conference honors as both a junior and a senior and led the Purple Knights to the semifinals of NE-10 Conference Tournament as a senior.

Cambronne played for the Worthing Thunder in England from 2015-16, for club Baloncesto Cuidad de Ponferrada in Spain in 2016-17, for Club Atletico Union de Santa Fe in Argentina in 2017-18 and for Club Atletico San Isidro in Argentina in 2018-19. During his final professional campaign, Cambronne averaged 13.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.

Cambronne grew up playing tennis and was 5-10 until his sophomore year at Father Lopez High School in Daytona Beach, Fla. He did not start playing basketball until his junior year at Father Lopez, where he was teammates with fellow UGA graduate assistant Reed Ridder.

Cambronne earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Saint Michael’s in 2015.
