2019-20 Season Highlights:
• Started the first seven games of the season and averaged 6.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 15.3 minutes of action per game.
• It was announced on Dec. 4 that he had left the team for an indefinitely period of time.
• Announced his decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal during the holiday break and did not return to school for the second semester.
• Won the Slam Dunk contest at the preseason “Stegmania II” hype event, leaping over runner-up Mike Peake to produce the winning effort.
• After scoring in double figures once in 31 games as a freshman (that coming in season opener), did so twice in the first three games of the 2019-20 campaign.
• Notched double figures in each of his seven games played, after doing so just four times in 31 outings as a freshman.
• Equaled his career high scoring tally with 10 points against The Citadel and then bettered that mark with 16 in the next outing versus Delaware State.
• Scored 60.5 percent (26 of 43) of his points on the season in those consecutive contests.
• Also hauled in a career-most five rebounds against The Citadel.

2018-19 Season Highlights:
• Secured action in 31 of 32 games (only DNP was at Ole Miss).
• Started UGA’s exhibition outing against West Georgia and had six points, two boards, an assist and a steal in 11 minutes of action against the Wolves.
• Began his collegiate career with a double-digit outing against Savannah State, a school from his hometown.
• Also posted three rebounds and three assists against the Tigers, efforts that stood up as his season highs.
• Scored on a thunderous, momentum-changing dunk from the right baseline at the 14:26 mark of the second half against Georgia Tech, after the Jackets had trimmed UGA’s 16-point lead to 34-32.
• Made a quick impact on the offensive end at No. 24 LSU, scoring seven points in four minutes of action.
• Posted another solid road performance at Alabama, with eight points in as many minutes played.
• Equaled his most playing time of the season – and his most since November – with 11 minutes of action at Texas A&M.

High School Highlights:
• Coached by Utaff Gordon at Sol C. Johnson High School.
• Tabbed first-team All-State for Class 3A by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as a senior.
• Ranked as the nation’s No. 121 overall prospect, as well as the No. 25 power forward and the No. 5 player in Georgia, by rivals.com.
• Rated as the No. 105 recruit in the nation, the No. 22 power forward and the No. 5 prospect in Georgia by 247sports.com.
• Named first-team All-Greater Savannah by the Savannah Morning News in 2018 after earning second-team honors in ’17.
• Voted the 2018 Region 3AAA co-Player of the Year.
• Helped Johnson compile a 45-13 record during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons, which both ended with losses to the eventual state champions in the Class 3A state tournament.
• As a senior, averaged 14.6 points and 10.0 rebounds per game for the Atom Smashers en route to a 26-3 finish and an appearance in the quarterfinals of the state tournament.
• Posted eight 20-point scoring outputs, including a career-high 30 against Windsor Forest, and registered 15 double-doubles.
• Notched a triple double with 25 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists against rival Islands High.
• Wrapped up his prep career with a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds against Greater Atlanta Christian in the quarterfinals of the state tournament.
• As a junior, averaged a double-double of 12.8 points and 11.6 rebounds and led Johnson’s Atom Smashers to a 19-10 finish and the second round of the Georgia 3A state tournament.
• Posted double-digit scoring outputs in 17 games during his junior season, including a season-high 24 versus Islands High.
• Helped the Atom Smashers to a final ranking of No. 9 in Class 3A after losing to eventual state champion Pace Academy, 49-41, in the state tourney’s round of 16.

• Born January 19, 2000 in Atlanta, Ga., Amanze is the sone of Ezeqwequer Ngumezi and Stephanie Jordan and is majoring in Communication Studies.
