Track and Field Men’s and Women’s Squads Ranked No. 1 in Week Three USTFCCCA Rating Index

NEW ORLEANS — Georgia men's and women's track and field teams both climbed to No. 1 in the Week Three USTFCCCA Track & Field Rating released on Tuesday morning, marking the first time in program history that both squads have held the top spot simultaneously.
The men's team earns its third-ever No. 1 ranking in the outdoors since the polls first began in 2008, this includes the final poll of their 2018 national championship season. This past weekend at the Spec Towns Invite, the Bulldog men posted eight scoring performances, highlighted by three NCAA leads.The Georgia men totaled 306.01 points in the rankings, holding a 51.08-point advantage over the next-ranked team.
On the women's side, this marks the 11th time the Lady Bulldogs have been ranked No. 1 outdoors since 2008, including the nine appearances the women made in the polls last outdoor season during their 2025 outdoor national championship campaign. This past weekend at Georgia's home meet the Lady Bulldogs collected a total of 13 scoring performances, including one NCAA-leading mark, and compiled 361.85 points to build a 90.64-point lead.
The USTFCCCA's Track & Field Rating Index is a computer-based ranking system that evaluates teams by using an algorithm focused on individual performances. Each performance is assigned a point value, and those points are combined to produce a team total that determines its national ranking.
