ATHENS, Ga. – No. 20 Georgia defeated Fordham and Belmont during day two of the Red and Black Showcase on Saturday afternoon at the Jack Turner Stadium.

FAST FACTS (FORDHAM):

This was Randi Roelling's first start on the mound this season for the Bulldogs, finishing the first four innings with seven strikeouts and only one run allowed.
With a player on base, Emily Digby hit a triple, tying the game 1-1. Emily Digby then scored on a wild pitch to take the lead in the bottom of the third.
A triple by Emma Castorri along with a fielding error on the next play increased the Bulldog's lead to 4-1 to end the fourth.
A home run by Tyler Ellison brought the lead to 5-1 in the bottom of the sixth.

Presley Harrison finished out the last three innings on the mound with six strikeouts and no runs allowed, earning the save.

FAST FACTS (BELMONT):

Addisen Fisher made her second start of the season in the win with freshman Ada Little making her first appearance of the season out of the bullpen. Fisher pitched three innings allowing just one hit and one walk, and Little pitched two frames with a strikeout.
Keirsten Roose opened the doors in the bottom of the first inning, scoring on a passed ball. The Bulldogs added six more runs in the first frame off a Tyler Ellison two-RBI single and a grand slam to right field by Emily Digby.
Ellison also homered in the bottom of the second inning adding two more RBIs. She ended the day going 3-3 with five RBIs.
Eight Bulldogs recorded a hit in the five-inning win.
