Urlando Wins Fourth SEC Title in 200 Butterfly

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Graduate Luca Urlando's fourth conference championship in the 200-yard butterfly highlighted the third day of competition at the 2026 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships Wednesday at the University of Tennessee Allan Jones Aquatic Center.

Following three days of competition, the Georgia men rank sixth with 281 points, while the Bulldog women stand ninth with 201 points.

Men's 200y Butterfly – Urlando earned his fourth career SEC title in the 200y butterfly and sixth overall, touching first with a time of 1:38.46, the seventh-fastest time of both his career and program history. Sophomore Drew Hitchcock earned the silver medal with a personal-best time of 1:39.76, becoming the third-fastest performer in program history and reaching his first career podium. Senior Roman Valdez finished 18^th with an NCAA time of 1:43.02, while freshman Kris Mihaylov placed 20^th with a personal-best NCAA cut of 1:43.70.
Men's 100y Backstroke – Senior Ruard van Renen won the bronze medal with an NCAA time of 44.56, besting Florida's Jonny Marshall by one-hundredth of a second for the podium. Fellow senior Sam Powe placed 19^th with an NCAA time of 46.29, while freshman Hayden Meyers took 21^st with a time of 46.54.
Men's 3-meter – Junior Matthew Bray finished 10^th with a score of 379.50, placing second in the consolation final. Bray's best score came in the first round with a 71.30, alternating with Missouri's Collier Dyer for first throughout the competition. In prelims, Bray finished 13^th with a score of 343.90.
Women's 100y Breaststroke – Sophomore Charlotte Headland finished 14^th with a personal-best NCAA cut of 1:00.08, followed by freshman Elizabeth Nawrocki in 20^th place at 1:00.56.
Women's 200y Butterfly – Senior Ieva Maluka finished 13^th with an NCAA cut of 1:56.74, while freshman Izzy Beu won the bonus final with an NCAA time of 1:57.03.
Women's 100y Backstroke – Sophomore Katie Belle Sikes finished 25^th with a time of 53.81. Freshman Marin Clem set a new PB with her 30^th-place time of 54.12.
Men's 100y Breaststroke – Sophomore Elliot Woodburn finished 32^nd with a time of 54.05.
