Bulldog Women Earn Pair of Silvers at SEC Championships

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Led by outstanding freshman Kennedi Dobson, the University of Georgia women's swimming and diving team earned two silver medals on the first full day of competition at the 2026 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships Tuesday at the University of Tennessee Allan Jones Aquatic Center.
Following two days in Knoxville, the Georgia women rank fifth overall with 160 points, with the men currently in sixth place at 155.

- Women's 1,650y Freestyle – Dobson earned her first SEC medal in the mile, leading for the first 600 yards before eventually taking silver with a second-place time of 15:43.72. Dobson dropped over four seconds from her seed time to post a new personal best, becoming the fifth-fastest performer in program history with the No. 10 time in the program standings. Dobson's 1,000y freestyle time of 9:29.89 was also the eighth-fastest time in program history. Fellow freshman Clarke Neace finished fifth with an NCAA cut time of 16:09.39, while senior Heidi Stalkfleet scored with a 16th-place mark of 16:29.03.
- Women's 800y Freestyle Relay – Maluka, senior Shea Furse, sophomore Marie Landreneau, and Dobson earned silver with an A-cut time of 6:53.71, the sixth-fastest in program history. Maluka led off with a time of 1:44.62, while Landreneau's 1:43.14 split on the third leg helped move the Bulldogs into second with Dobson closing at 1:42.06. The podium finish was the Georgia women's 26th in the past 28 years.
- Men's 1,650y Freestyle – Freshman Sean Green placed sixth with a new personal-best NCAA cut of 14:46.88, winning his heat in the process. Fellow first year Finn Hammer also posted a new PB of 15:05.13 in 18th place, while graduate Tommy-Lee Camblong finished 21st with a time of 15:14.10.
- Men's 800y Freestyle Relay – Junior Tomas Koski, Urlando, freshman Kris Mihaylov, and sophomore Drew Hitchcock finished fourth with an A-cut time of 6:12.55, the ninth-fastest in program history. Koski led off with an NCAA time of 1:32.76, while Hitchcock anchored with a 1:33.82 split.
- Men's 200y Medley Relay – Senior Ruard van Renen, sophomore Elliot Woodburn, graduate Luca Urlando, and sophomore Tane Bidois finished seventh with an A-cut time of 1:22.61, the third-fastest in program history. In backstroke, van Renen led off with a PB of 20.41, while Bidois closed at 18.98.
- Women's 200y Medley Relay – Senior Ieva Maluka, sophomore Charlotte Headland, senior Emma Norton, and sophomore Katie Belle Sikes placed ninth with a season-best time of 1:36.67. Maluka led off with a new 50y backstroke PB of 24.74, while Sikes closed with a season-best split of 21.41.
- Women's 1-meter – Junior Michelle Cummo finished 38th overall in her SEC Championships debut with a score of 218.30. Cummo's best score came in the fifth round when she earned a 48.00.
