No. 17 Georgia Closes out Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational with Wins over Northwestern, No. 19 Duke

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The No. 17 Georgia Bulldogs closed out the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational defeating Northwestern, 8-3, and No. 19 Duke, 9-1 (5 inn.), on Saturday afternoon at the Eddie C. Moore Complex. Georgia ends the invite going 5-1 and now sits at 9-2 overall.

Fast Facts (Northwestern):
- In her fourth start of the season, LHP Randi Roelling pitched a complete game with three strikeouts while giving up six hits, no earned runs and two walks.
- Sarah Gordon and Kierstin Roose each went deep in the fourth inning. Gordon launched a 3-run blast to right center before Roose launched Georgia's second grand slam of the season to center field. Emily Digby joined Gordon as the two multi-hit Bulldogs of the game.
- The fourth inning struck again. In the last three games the Bulldogs have now scored a combined 26 runs in the fourth frame plating 11 runners against NC State, 8 against UCF and 7 today against Northwestern.
- The Wolfpack scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to extend the game to the seventh inning and avoid the run-rule off a sac-fly to left and a two-RBI single up the middle.
- The Bulldogs now hold a 9-1 all-time series advantage against the Wildcats.
Fast Facts (No. 19 Duke):
- RHP Addisen Fisher made her fifth start of the season going the distance in five innings with four hits to four strikeouts while also moving to 5-0 on the season.
- The Georgia bats started early with three straight home runs by Delani Sullivan (2-run), Jaydyn Goodwin and Sarah Gordon in the top of the first inning. This is the first time since February 9, 2024 (Murray State) that Georgia has hit three-straight home runs in a game. Sullivan had a single, double and home run in the game.
- Kiersten Roose joined Sullivan and Goodwin with 2 or more hits in the win.
- Duke scored its lone run in the game off an RBI-single to right field.
- Georgia moves 6-2 in the series history against the Blue Devils.
