No. 12 Bulldogs Defeat Samford, 14-8, on Wednesday Night

- Freshman LHP Ada Little made the start going 3.2 innings with seven hits, six earned runs and two strikeouts. RHP Destin Howard pitched one relief inning, and RHP Addisen Fisher closed the game with 2.1 innings pitched with one earned run and three strikeouts to move to 6-0 on the season.
- Freshman Kierstin Roose scored right away for the Bulldogs, launching a lead-off home run in the bottom of the first. Roose is the first Georgia player to hit two home runs in a game since Sarah Gordon vs. Buffalo on February 20, 2025.
- The Bulldogs went up big, scoring nine runs in the second inning. Emily Digby launched a two-run home run to go up 3-1 and start the scoring spree, which was quickly followed by Roose's second homer of the night.
- The last time the Bulldogs scored nine runs in an inning was against Florida State on February 17, 2024.
- Samford cut into the lead, scoring six runs in the fourth. Samford also had two home runs, one in the first and another in the sixth.

"Hats off to Sanford. I was really impressed with the competitiveness of their ball club. Their hitters were really aggressive. I thought the coaching staff did a really good job. Their players kept playing. That easily could have been a walk away game, and they didn't allow it to be. I thought we came out really in a good place, and we started off the game well with the bats. Kiersten Roose doing what she's been doing has been really exciting. Up and down the lineup, I thought we just had really good at bats and really did that for most of the night. Just didn't come through there with a couple of the clutch opportunities to maybe put the game away. The benefit of tonight was we got everybody in. We got a lot of our reserves opportunities that'll be important for us down the road and for their development and growth."
