Georgia Beats No. 11 Kentucky for Third Consecutive Win

LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team has defeated a top-25 opponent for the second time in six days with a 72-67 victory against the No. 11-ranked Kentucky Wildcats Saturday at Historic Memorial Gymnasium.

» With an 18-3 overall record, Georgia is off to its best start since the 2017-18 season.
» The Lady Bulldogs have won three-straight SEC games. After defeating No. 16 Ole Miss 82-59 last Sunday, Georgia has downed a pair of ranked opponents within a week for the first time since 2011.
» Four players scored in double figures on Saturday, led by 19 each from Dani Carnegie and Rylie Theuerkauf. That total marks Theuerkauf's best SEC game of the year.
» Mia Woolfolk recorded her first double-double of the season with 11 points and a career-high 13 rebounds.
» The Lady Bulldogs led the Wildcats for 36 minutes and built as much as a 12 in the second quarter.
» Georgia committed just nine turnovers and out rebounded Kentucky 40-34.
