Quotes

Coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson

On reviving excitement around the program…
"There's a lot of tradition here, and we're really trying to teach our team that, what it means to wear Georgia on your chest. Two weeks ago against Ole Miss when all of our alumni came back, they really got a good sense of how important that was. Every single game we play, even if they're not physically here, they're watching. They want a certain brand of basketball, they wanna see that dog every single game. We need everyone to step up to that dog mentality."

On Enjulina Gonzalez' first start of the season…
"I think she did great. She plays really good defense for us all the time, that's kinda why I made that decision."

On how it feels to be back home in the Steg…
"It always feels good to be back here at the Steg, our fans support with everything. It's always good being back home, especially almost being stuck on the road with the snow. We're very grateful to be back here in the Steg."

On how Mia Woolfolk filled the gap knowing Alabama would go hard on teammate Dani Carnegie
"With me personally, I just do my role. Coach always harps on knowing your role and doing it well. I went to the game knowing I have to do my role and knowing they're going to try to come at me, so I just had to keep playing my game, no matter who's coming at me."

On some positives that the team can focus on as they prepare for Tennessee next week…
"Positive is there is a next game. All we can do is learn from this. There's just so many learning experiences that we could take as a team from this game. Now that we're going into Tennessee, which is another tough game, we have so much that we can take away from this game, and we can move forward with that."
