Fast Facts

Georgia plays host to Tennessee this Friday in the annual meeting of the rival programs. Last season, the two teams split their contest in Knoxville, with the men's meet highlighted by Luca Urlando's first American Record in the 200y butterfly.
Georgia is looking to carry the momentum from three victories in its last meet against Florida State and Arkansas. The Bulldog men took down the No. 12 Seminoles, 183.5-114.5, while the women earned wins over FSU (170-116) and Arkansas (169-124).
For their efforts, Georgia received four SEC weekly honors. Urlando was named the Men's Swimmer of the Week for the eighth time in his career as he earned four wins and picked up his sixth different NCAA cut of the season. Junior Matthew Bray became the Bulldogs' first Men's Diver of the Week since October 2020 as he swept the springboards with season-best times. Freshmen Sean Green and Kennedi Dobson were both named Freshmen of the Week, with Green taking the distance events and Dobson setting a new PB in the 1,000y freestyle.
Urlando and Tennessee senior Gui Caribe each enter Friday's meet with top times in the country. Urlando ranks first in the 200y butterfly with his new American Record time of 1:36.41, while Caribe leads the country in the 100y freestyle at 40.91.
