Eleven Bulldogs Named To SEC Academic Honor Roll

ATHENS-----Eleven Bulldogs from the women's tennis national championship team were named to either the 2025 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll or First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll, the league announced recently.
The veteran Bulldogs to earn SEC Academic honors included Tatum Buffington (Marketing), Haley Gaudette (Nutritional Sciences), Guillermina Grant (Financial Planning), Anastasiia Lopata (Finance), Aysegul Mert (Marketing), Mai Nirundorn (Management), Mell Reasco (Marketing), Alexandra Vecic (Marketing) and Dasha Vidmanova (Finance). Also, Georgia freshmen Sarah Branicki and Hayden Mulberry were named to the 2024-25 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll. Branicki, a native of Marietta, Ga., is majoring in special education while Mulberry, who also hails from Marietta, is majoring in marketing.Â
In 2025, Georgia fielded one of its greatest teams ever as the Bulldogs finished 29-3 with an SEC Tournament crown and a pair of national titles at the ITA Indoors and NCAA Championships.
The Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll includes the sports of baseball, golf, softball, tennis and track and field. It is based on grades from the 2024 Summer, 2024 Fall, and 2025 Spring terms.Â
Undergraduate student-athletes must have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or above for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above. A graduate student-athlete must have a 3.00 GPA or above for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at their current institution. The student-athletes must either be on scholarship, be a letter winner or have been on the varsity team for two seasons and completed 24 semester hours of credit toward an undergraduate degree or 18 semester hours of academic credit toward a graduate degree.
The First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2024-25 academic calendar and have the same GPA requirements as the Spring Honor Roll. The student-athletes must have been a member of the varsity team for the entire NCAA season to qualify for an SEC Academic Honor Roll.
