Ratcliffe Voted SEC T&F Scholar-Athlete Of The Year

May 14, 2025 | Track & Field

ATHENS, Ga. --- Bulldog sixth-year thrower Stephanie Ratcliffe has been named the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Track & Field Women's Scholar-Athlete of the Year, according to a league announcement Tuesday.

Ratcliffe, a native of Melbourne, Australia, tied for the honor with Alabama's Doris Lemngole.  Ratcliffe's accolade marks the fourth for the Lady Bulldog program with the last two going to the legendary Keturah Orji in 2016 and 2018.

After earning her Neuroscience degree from Harvard, the 2024 CSC Third Team Academic All-American secured her Master's degree in Business Analytics from UGA in 2024 and will finish her Pathway MBA at Georgia this summer.  Ratcliffe has a 4.0 GPA during her time in Athens while also completing a UPS analytics consultant capstone project.

Ratcliffe won the hammer throw at this year's Tiger Track Classic with the longest throw of her UGA career (69.69 meters/228 feet, 7 inches).  This is the second-longest throw in school history and ranks No. 3 in the NCAA in 2025 (SEC leader).  The 2024 SEC runner-up in the hammer, Ratcliffe captured the 2023 NCAA hammer title while suiting up for Harvard.

What's Next For The Bulldogs?: The SEC Outdoor Championships start on Thursday and run through Saturday at Kentucky's facility.
