No. 2-seed Bulldogs Sweep No. 3-seed Oklahoma, Advance to SEC Tournament Final

AUBURN, Ala. — The No. 2 ranked and 2-seeded Georgia women's tennis team (22-3, 13-2 SEC) will play for an SEC Tournament three-peat after defeating No. 5-ranked and 3-seeded Oklahoma (19-6, 11-4 SEC), 4-0, in the 2025 SEC Tournament semifinal at the Yarbrough Tennis Center on Saturday.

- In singles, #54 Aysegul Mert dominated from start to finish as she cruised past #66 Emma Staker, 6-1, 6-2, on court four to double Georgia's lead to 2-0.
- Sofia Rojas produced a strong performance at the tail end of the lineup as she defeated Gloriana Nahum, 6-3, 6-3, on court six to put the Bulldogs one point away from the win.
- Moments later, #85 Grant outlasted a second-set comeback bid from Ava Catanzarite, pulling through in a deep tiebreaker battle to secure a 6-0, 7-6(8) victory for the clinch and the sweep.
- Georgia have now advanced to the SEC Tournament title match in each of the three editions hosted by Auburn, coming up short 5-4 against top-seeded Florida in 1995 before coming out victorious, 4-3, in a rematch against 1-seed Florida in 2008.
- A win on Sunday would secure the second SEC Tournament three-peat in program history after winning three in a row from 2007-09.
- As a 2-seed in SEC Tournament history, Georgia has advanced to the title match seven times while winning it twice.
