No. 2 Bulldogs Set to Compete at 2025 SEC Championships

AUBURN, Ala. — The No. 2 Georgia women's tennis team (20-3, 13-2 SEC) is set open postseason play at the 2025 Southeastern Conference Championships starting with a quarterfinal date against No. 10 Tennessee (17-6, 10-5 SEC) on Friday, April 18 at 1 p.m. ET at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

The Bulldogs enter the SEC Tournament as the No. 2 seed after a second-place finish in conference regular season play.
Georgia will begin its quest for a third-consecutive SEC Tournament title and a fourth in the last five seasons after winning in 2023 in Fayetteville, Ark., before taking the tournament crown as hosts in 2024.
Against the Lady Vols, the Bulldogs lead the all-time series 57-9 while having won each of the last 18 meeting against Tennessee including a 4-0 sweep during the regular season back in March.
Georgia will face Tennessee in the SEC Tournament for the fifth-straight year, winning all four previous meetings.
The Bulldogs at 6-0 on neutral courts this season, having won four-straight on route to the ITA National Indoor title back in February.
No. 2 Georgia enters the tournament with six Bulldogs listed in the latest ITA player rankings. In singles, Dasha Vidmanova heads the top of the list at No. 1 followed by Anastasiia Lopata at No. 22, Aysegul Mert at No. 54 and Guillermina Grant at No. 85. In doubles, Vidmanova and Mell Reasco slot in at No. 2 followed by Grant and Mert at No. 21 rounded out by Lopata and Grant at No. 74.
