Her double in the bottom of the ninth inning scored Jaydyn Goodwin to walk off the Spartans. Digby launched a two-out two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth to put Georgia head 2-0. It was her second home run of the season.
Marsia Miller was the other Bulldog to scatter multiple hits, finishing 2-for-3 on the game. Lilli Backes improved to 11-5 in the circle, pitching six innings out of the pen. She allowed two unearned runs on three hits. She struck out four and walked three.

Battle Tested in SEC Play
In Georgia's softball's 29-year history, the Bulldogs have never opened SEC play against three straight top-10 opponents until this season. The only time a Georgia team came close was in 2017 when UGA faced four top 25 opponents to start SEC play (No. 17, 12, 5, 3).

Georgia fans have already set a season attendance record at Jack Turner Stadium with 46,975 fans packing The Jack so far in 2025. Her .359 batting average in SEC play is the best on the team by 56 points. She's knocked six home runs and recorded 20 RBI. Ellison had just 34 at-bats in her first two seasons and has taken advantage of every opportunity this season, working into a starting role on the right side of the infield. She's provided a walk-off hit in three games in 2025 (CSUB, Ohio State, Tennessee).

Starting Strong
44 of Georgia's 189 runs (23 percent) have come in the first inning. The Bulldogs have scored five or more runs in the first inning six times. UGA has pushed a run across in the first inning in 17 games, going 15-2 in those games. The Dogs are 14-2 when leading after the first inning.
