ATHENS, Ga. – Seven members of the University of Georgia diving team travels to the Plains for the 2025 NCAA Division I Zone B Diving Championships, running Sunday, March 9 through Wednesday, March 12 at Auburn University's James E. Martin Aquatic Center.

The Zone B Championships begin with the men's 1-meter on Sunday, followed by women's and men's sessions on Monday and Tuesday before concluding with the women's platform on Wednesday. Prelims will begin each day at noon EDT. The meet will not be streamed, but live results will be available on DiveMeets.com.

During the competition, the top 18 finishers in the preliminary round will advance to the finals. In the men's competition, seven will qualify on 1-meter, eight on 3-meter, and six on platform, while in the women's events, nine will reach NCAAs on 1-meter and seven will qualify on 3-meter and platform. Additionally, if a diver automatically qualifies in one event, they can add additional events to their NCAA program with top-12 finishes.

Senior Rhett Hopkins and junior Hannah Stumpf are the only Georgia divers competing in all three events. Hopkins scored on both springboards at the SEC Championships and reached the 1-meter finals at last year's Zones in Athens. Stumpf scored on 1-meter and platform at SECs and previously made Zones finals on both boards in 2023.

Junior Renato Calderaro and sophomore Matthew Bray will look to carry the momentum from their terrific performances at SECs. Both divers reached the 3-meter championship final and also scored on 1-meter. Sophomore Michelle Cummo (1m, 3m) and freshmen Bo Bridges (1m, 3m) and Nyla Thompson (1m) will also compete this week for the Bulldogs.

At last year's Zones, Meghan Wenzel qualified on both springboards and Allen Mann earned a bid on platform. The Bulldogs have placed at least diver in the NCAA Championships in three of the past four seasons: Zach Allen (2021), Wenzel (2022-24), and Mann (2024).

Following Zones, the Bulldogs head to Federal Way, Washington for the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships. The women's meet runs March 19-22, followed by the men's meet on March 26-29.
