Key Quotes
Ike Cousins Head Baseball Coach Wes Johnson
On battling adversity within the game…
"I talk to them all of the time. If you play with emotions, you're going to have some big, severe ups and downs. If you just play with energy and focus, and you surrender to the process, you'll understand that our game is really hard. You're not going to get a hit every at bat, even though you're trying to, but it's what you learn from that and those guys did that today."
On the atmosphere today…
"I want to thank our crowd, they made it tough. The energy was flowing and we had a lot of fans here. It affects players, and I think it got to them today."
Dan Jackson | So. | RF
On how it feels to be a key contributor in an SEC win…
"I mean, yeah, this is why I wanted to come here, to be a part of stuff like this. It feels awesome to get that win, especially being down by two. Guys stacking at-bats, putting me in a position where I could get that done. They made it easy on me, it was just awesome that I could be the one to finish it out."
JT Quinn | Jr. | RHP
On the mood of the team right now…
"It's special, man. If we're going to win, it's how much we want to win the game. It's a really cool team, it's really cool to have the depth of guys and the quality of guys to go out and it's really special."
