No. 1 Bulldogs Earn 10th Ranked Victory of the Season, Sweep No. 12 Oklahoma 4-0

ATHENS, Ga. — The No. 1 Georgia women's tennis team (16-1, 9-0 SEC) earned its 10th ranked victory of the season after sweeping No. 12 Oklahoma (12-5, 5-4 SEC), 4-0, at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on Sunday.

  • In singles, #1 Dasha Vidmanova was the first on the board for the Bulldogs as she knocked off #26 Alina Shcherbinina, 6-2, 6-3, on court one to double Georgia's lead to 2-0.
  • Sofia Rojas followed up soon after to put Georgia one point from victory after defeating Nahum, 7-6(5), 6-4, on court six.
  • #52 Mert sealed the deal for Georgia as she came back from a set down to defeat #70 Emma Staker, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 on court four to clinch the match for the Bulldogs.
