Bulldogs in the NFL Week 14

ATHENS, Ga. – Week fourteen of NFL action is complete, and several former Bulldogs had exceptional performances for their respective teams.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford continues to state his case for NFL MVP as he turned in another dominant performance in the win over the Cardinals on Sunday. Stafford completed 22 of 31 passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns, bringing his touchdown pass total to 35, which ranks first in the NFL. In addition to his passing touchdown totals, Stafford ranks fourth in the NFL in passing yards (3,354), and is the current favorite to win NFL MVP, which would make him just the second former Bulldog to win the award (Terrell Davis, 1998).
Meanwhile, a trio of former Bulldogs led an impressive defensive effort for the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers. Jordan Davis, Nakobe Dean, and Nolan Smith Jr., combined for 19 tackles, two and a half sacks, three tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and five quarterback hits. Along with their performance on Monday night, both Dean and Davis set new career highs in sacks.

Detroit Lions 44, Dallas Cowboys 30
Tate Ratledge, OL – Started at guard for Detroit as the offensive line gave up just one sack in the win.
Dominic Lovett, WR – Dressed as a reserve wide receiver for the Lions and appeared on two offensive snaps.
George Pickens, WR – Started at wide receiver for Dallas and caught five of his nine targets for 37 yards.
Buffalo Bills 39, Cincinnati Bengals 34
James Cook III, RB – Started at running back for Buffalo, rushing 18 times for 80 yards while catching two passes for 31 yards. Currently, Cook ranks second in the NFL in rushing yards and sits less than 50 yards behind current NFL rushing leader Jonathan Taylor.

Jalon Walker, LB – Saw limited action on defense for Atlanta after exiting early with a quadriceps injury, recording no statistics.
