Georgia Women’s Tennis Prepares for ITA South Sectional and Conference Masters Championships

BATON ROUGE, La. / SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Georgia women's tennis splits action this week to continue their fall slate with six players heading to ITA South Sectional Championships while No. 28 Aysegul Mert will compete in ITA Conference Masters Championships Nov. 6-9.

- The Georgia women's tennis team will be represented at Sectionals by six Bulldogs: Patricija Paukstyte, Sofia Rojas, Deniz Dilek, Emma Dong, Emily Deming, and Hayden Mulberry.
- Four days of competition will see 15 schools represented through both the singles and doubles competitions.
- Six singles players and three doubles teams will qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships out of ITA South Sectionals.
- Mert will be the only Bulldog to compete in ITA Conference Masters for one more chance to qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship.
Tournament Information:
- The ITA Women's Sectional Championships are set to take place Nov. 6–9 across four sites nationwide, with 24 singles players and 12 doubles teams earning spots in the NCAA Championships later this month.
- Baton Rouge will serve as one of the host sites, featuring competitors from the Ohio Valley, Southeast, and Southern regions.
- The ITA Conference Masters Championships also serves as another NCAA Individual Championships qualifier.
- Competing in San Diego, California, four singles players will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship (semifinalists) and three doubles teams will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship.
