Bulldogs Earn Six Wins on Second Day of UGA Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. – Powered by six individual victories, the University of Georgia swimming and diving teams continued competition Wednesday at the 2025 Georgia Fall Invitational at Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium.

The Georgia Fall Invitational continues Thursday with the 100y backstroke, 200y breaststroke, 500y freestyle, 50y freestyle, women's 3-meter, men's 1-meter, and 400y medley relay. Swimming prelims begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by diving prelims and consolation at 11:30 a.m., swimming finals at 5:30 p.m., and diving finals at 6 p.m. Admission is free for all spectators at Gabrielsen Natatorium. Live results will be available on MeetMobile and DiveMeets, with live streaming on SEC Network+.

- Women's 400y IM – Senior Ieva Maluka routed the field with a winning time of 4:06.20, a new personal-best time that ranks eighth in program history. Maluka dropped nearly four seconds from her previous PB of 4:10.13 set in prelims. Junior Elizabeth Tilt placed fourth with a season-best NCAA cut of 4:12.17.
- Men's 400y IM – Sophomore Drew Hitchcock led a top three Bulldog sweep with a season-best NCAA cut of 3:39.57, nearly topping his personal best. Freshman Finn Hammer placed second with a NCAA time of 3:40.99, moving into ninth in program history. Senior Cale Martter rounded out the top three with a season-best time of 3:41.43.
- Women's 200y Freestyle – Freshman Kennedi Dobson continued her outstanding week with a winning time of 1:42.19, a new PB that ranks fourth in program history. Sophomore Marie Landreneau followed in second with a season-best time of 1:43.47, while senior Shea Furse took fifth with a season-best 1:44.88. Fellow senior Emma Norton won the consolation final with a PB of 1:45.64, while freshman Maeve Eckerman won the 'C' final at 1:46.83.
- Men's 200y Freestyle – Junior Tomas Koski prevailed with an NCAA cut of 1:31.68. Sophomore Will Gavin finished 13th with a season-best time of 1:35.29, with freshman Luke Sandberg placing 15th with a PB of 1:35.47.
- Men's 100y Breaststroke – Sophomore Elliot Woodburn posted personal-best times in winning both prelims and finals. In prelims, Woodburn's time of 51.43 was the third-fastest time in program history, while his 51.20 in finals was the No. 2 time in history.
- Men's 3-meter – Junior Matthew Bray took first with a season-best score of 400.95, highlighted by a 76.50 on his third dive. In prelims, Bray finished third with a mark of 362.15.
- Men's 100y Butterfly – Graduate Luca Urlando finished second with a season-best NCAA cut of 43.87, the fourth-fastest time in both his collegiate career and program history. Senior Ruard van Renen took fourth with a new personal-best time of 44.86, becoming the third-fastest performer in program history. Fellow senior Roman Valdez won the consolation final with a season-best 46.63.
- Women's 200y Freestyle Relay – Landreneau, Sikes, freshman Marin Clem, and Norton finished third with a season-best time of 1:28.96. Landreneau led off with a personal-best time of 22.90, while Norton closed strong with a 22.07 split.
- Men's 200y Freestyle Relay – Urlando, van Renen, sophomore Tane Bidois, and Woodburn also finished third with an NCAA automatic cut of 1:15.89, the second-fastest time in program history. Urlando led off with a season-best NCAA cut of 19.39, while Woodburn closed at 18.87.
- Women's 100y Butterfly – Freshman Izzy Beu finished fifth with a personal-best time of 52.84. Senior Olivia Della Torre placed 12th with a PB of 52.95, while sophomore Katie Belle Sikes won the 'C' final with a PB of 52.89. Freshman Hayden Hollingsworth followed behind in 18th place with a personal-best 53.16.
- Women's 100y Breaststroke – Freshman Elizabeth Nawrocki finished sixth with a personal-best NCAA cut of 1:00.11, while sophomore Charlotte Headland placed eighth with a PB of 1:00.61. Senior Elizabeth Isakson finished 17th with a time of 1:02.19.
- Men's 200y Backstroke – In a morning time trials, senior Sam Powe posted an NCAA cut time of 1:39.69, a personal-best ranking sixth in program history.
