Quotes:
Coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson
On having fewer turnovers…
"Coach [Tahnee] Balerio is our point guard coach and she wouldn't let them shoot the ball for two days. She made them pass. Honestly, that's what she did. They were getting too deep, too crowded and making bad passes so she wouldn't let them shoot. That's more of a concentration thing when you do things over and over again, it's a learning behavior. In practice if you're doing everything fast and you're not jump stopping and you're making jump passes and doing it in practice and then you come to a game, it's not going to change. Then they would drive in there and jump stop, read the defense instead of just going in there and trying to draw fouls."
On the opposing teams drought in the second quarter…
"We talked about that. They're very, very patient. There's a lot of things in coaching that he doesn't want to shoot the ball fast. If he [Jason Williams] shoots the ball fast, then we're going down there on an offensive transition. He really runs sets, lot of sets, and they're good. He does a good job with the set and he's got them setting their screens and getting them all 25, coming off double downs and doing all kinds of tough stuff. We wanted to disrupt their sets and we really wanted to get out and pressure them. They couldn't see what was going on, on the other side and just pressure them like crazy. So, they couldn't run their sets and I think that was it. Then, backed off a little bit and then, we had a turnover, which they only scored six points in the fourth quarter… we wanted to disrupt their sets."
 On the upcoming road game…
"I think this road game is going to be big. It's going to take a lot of upperclassmen focus. Making sure that they know to keep everybody locked in and the rooming list is going to be big. We will probably put a bunch of upperclassmen with the younger kids and keep them focused and locked in. Our coaches are going to keep everybody locked in. With our scrimmage on the road, we've already had one road game, but we are focused and ready to go for that game."Â

Guard | #14 | Junior
On reducing turnovers…
"We had over 20 last week, and our goal is under 12. Even today, we did a lot better, but we could still do better. It was focusing and shooting the ball instead of just giving it up and passing it. It's really just been one of our main focuses."
On how they were able to force 27 turnovers...
"We focus on defense a lot, we love to pressure. The main goal of today was pressure. The other team loves to run sets, they're really good at running their sets, they're really good at shooting threes, so we knew we had to take that away. We wanted to just pressure the ball, get up on them, make sure they can't dribble, or really run anything."Â

On the upcoming first road game…
"We're excited. We take one game at a time. So we're just focused on the next match, which is South Carolina State. So we're just excited to play and were going to put our scout together and focus on beating them."Â
On holding SCU to zero points until about 4 minutes…Â
"Our motto is to have single-digit quarters from them scoring, so we just have to continue to be focused and disciplined to keep them under 10 points. It's the pressure that we have and to continue to do it as a team."
