August 11, 2026 | Women's Basketball

ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia women's basketball has announced its 2026-27 schedule, featuring 15 home games at Stegeman Coliseum, a trip to the Cancun Challenge and a challenging SEC slate as the Lady Bulldogs enter the first season under head coach Ayla Guzzardo.

The season tips off on Nov. 2 against West Georgia in Stegeman Coliseum. The November schedule is highlighted by five home games, and five road matchups. The Lady Bulldogs' first road contest is against Ohio on Nov. 14, before returning for a rivalry matchup against Georgia Tech on Nov. 18 in Atlanta. Georgia then travels to Cancun, Mexico to participate in the Cancun Challenge to round out the month.

The Lady Bulldogs open December with the ACC/SEC Challenge, traveling to Dallas to play SMU before returning to Athens to host the annual Education Game that takes place on Monday, Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. inside Stegeman Coliseum. The non-conference slate concludes Dec. 28 with a matchup against Georgia Southern.

Georgia's SEC schedule tips off on New Year's Eve with a home matchup against Texas, before heading on the road to face Alabama and Oklahoma. Following the bye week, Georgia plays host to Arkansas, before hitting the road to face Vanderbilt and Florida. The Lady Bulldogs conclude January by welcoming Mississippi State to Athens.

Georgia kicks off February on the road against Ole Miss on Feb. 4. The Lady Bulldogs make back-to-back trips to LSU and Texas A&M, before returning home to host South Carolina for the season finale in Stegeman on Feb. 28.

The 2027 SEC Tournament takes place March 3-7 in Greenville, S.C.

Game times for all regular season games are based on television designations, which will be announced at a later date.

Head Coach Ayla Guzzardo will begin her first season leading the Georgia women's basketball program after impressive stints at both McNeese State and Southeastern Louisiana. Guzzardo was named the fourth head coach in program history back in April.

Georgia added 11 newcomers to its roster this offseason, highlighted by ACC All-Freshman selection Milan Brown, Big East All-Tournament Team honoree Jordana Codio and Southland Conference Freshman of the Year Dakota Howard.
