Georgia finished second at the Georgia Tech Dual Meet Tournament, defeating George Washington and Auburn before falling to NC State in the championship.
Three Bulldog swimmers earned SEC weekly honors for their performances in Atlanta. Graduate Luca Urlando was named SEC Men's Swimmer of the Week for the seventh time in his career as he posted the nation's second-fastest times in both butterfly events.
Freshmen Kennedi Dobson and Sean Green were also named SEC Freshmen of the Week. Dobson turned in the nation's fastest time in the 500y freestyle at 4:33.61, giving her top 10 program performances in three different events through four meets. Green picked up an NCAA cut in the 500y freestyle at 4:17.24, the nation's No. 11 time.
The Georgia men earned automatic qualifiers to the NCAA Championships in both medley relays. In the 400y medley relay, Ruard van Renen, Elliot Woodburn, Urlando, and Tomas Koski posted a time of 3:02.66, the second-fastest in program history. Later in the weekend, the same quartet notched a mark of 1:23.44, the seventh-fastest all-time.
Junior Matthew Bray has turned in an outstanding start to his season, finishing first in nine of his 10 events to date. Bray has already qualified for the Zone B Championships on both springboards.
Through the first month of the season, the Georgia men have earned 12 NCAA championship cuts, including five for Urlando, while the women have accumulated eight overall.

Georgia opens its home schedule with the annual Georgia Fall Invitational, running Wednesday, Nov. 19-Friday, Nov. 21 at Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium. The Bulldogs will be joined by Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and LSU.
