Bulldogs in the NFL Week Eight

ATHENS, Ga. – Week eight of NFL action is complete, and several former Bulldogs had exceptional performances for their respective teams.
Buffalo Bills running back James Cook III recorded the best day of his career on the ground, rushing 19 times for 216 yards and two touchdowns. The performance marked Cook's first 200-yard rushing performance of his NFL career and was the sixth-best single game performance by a Bills running back in franchise history. Cook became just the fourth player in NFL history to rush for 215 yards or more and score two or more touchdowns on less than 20 carries. Currently, Cook ranks second in the NFL in rushing yards (753), fourth in the league in rushing touchdowns (7), and first in yards per attempt by rushers with 100 carries or more(6.0).
Meanwhile, Houston Texans second year defensive back Kamari Lassiter continues to excel as he racked up seven tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass defended, and an interception. With seven total tackles on Sunday, Lassiter has already eclipsed 100 tackles in his career. Currently, Lassiter is on pace to improve his totals in every significant statistical category from his rookie season.
