Georgia Set to Host GymDog Debut Saturday at Stegeman

ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia Gymnastics fans will have their first chance to see the 2025 GymDogs in action on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 2 p.m. in Stegman Coliseum for the GymDog Debut.

The GymDogs will compete in two teams. The Black team, led by co-head coach Cécile Canqueteau-Landi and assistant coach Oleksii Koltakov, will start on vault, followed by bars, beam, and floor. The Red team, coached by co-head coach Ryan Roberts and assistant coach Marissa King, will begin on bars, followed by vault, floor, and beam. Admission to the GymDog Debut is free for all fans. The event will be available through live stream on SEC Network+.

Georgia kicks off the 2025 season on Sunday, Jan. 12 at the Denver Quad Meet in Denver, Colorado. The Bulldogs will take on host Denver, Missouri and Long Island in the season opener. This will be the first season under the direction of co-head coaches Canqueteau-Landi and Roberts.

Georgia's official home opener will take place on Friday, Jan. 17 against Boise State at Stegeman Coliseum with a special appearance by 11-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles. 

Single-meet tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at GeorgiaDogs.com. The meet will begin at 7 p.m. with the gates opening at 6 p.m. The Jan. 17 meet against the Broncos will be Olympics Night and Alumni Night. The first 500 UGA students will receive a gray belt bag and the first 300 kids at the kid's zone will get a gold medal.
