Bulldogs Begin 2024-25 Campaign at Island Resort Intercollegiate

ATHENS — The University of Georgia men's golf team will open its 2024-25 season at the Island Resort Intercollegiate at the Sage Run Golf Club in Bark River, Michigan. The 12-team tournament, hosted by South Dakota State, will consist of three rounds: two on Sunday, Sep. 1 and one on Monday, Sept. 2.
The Bulldogs lineup will consist of junior Carter Loflin, senior Buck Brumlow, sophomore Camden Smith, freshman Matt Moloney, and graduate George Langham. Freshman James Earle will be competing as an individual.
The tournament marks the first of five fall tournaments for Georgia, who will participate in the Valero Texas Collegiate at the TPC San Antonio on Sept. 21-23. The Bulldogs will round out 2024 playing in the Ben Hogan Collegiate Sept. 30-Oct. 1, the Falls Oaks Collegiate Oct. 19-21 and at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic in Hawaii on Nov. 2-4.

Dawgs in the Polls: Georgia opens the season with as the No. 21 team in the nation on the Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches' poll.
Georgia Roster: Georgia's eight man roster brings back four golfers from the 2023-34 roster in senior Buck Brumlow, graduate George Langham, junior Carter Loflin, and sophomore Camden Smith. The team also features four newcomers in freshmen Billy Abdow, James Earle, Matt Moloney, and Grayson Wood.
Haack Enters 29th Season: Chris Haack was named the Georgia men's golf coach on July 18,1996 – and he has guided the Bulldogs to their highest levels of success. Coach Haack has coached the Bulldogs to two national championships (the only two in school history), eight Southeastern Conference crowns, 68 team tournament titles, and virtually every squad and individual records.
During his 28 previous seasons leading the program, the Bulldogs have advanced out of the NCAA Regional round and into the championships 23 times. Haack has also guided the team to at least one tournament win in 24 of the 28 seasons during his time as the head coach.
