Georgia Adds Olympian Csenge Bácskay for 2025 Season

ATHENS, Ga. --- Csenge Bácskay, a 2024 Paris Olympics Qualifier for Hungary, has announced her transfer to the University of Georgia gymnastics team for 2025.  
 
Bácskay spent the last two seasons at Nebraska, posting new career highs in every event in 2024 – 9.900 on vault, 9.850 on bars, 9.900 on beam, 9.950 on floor and 39.350 in the all-around. She was named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in Fall 2022 and 2023.
 
"We are excited to welcome Csenge to the team," Georgia co-head coach Ryan Roberts said. "Her excellent work ethic and dedication will make a great addition to the team.  We wish her luck as she prepares to compete for Hungary at the Olympics and look forward to having her in Athens as a GymDog."
 
Bácskay has many accolades under her belt including being a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2023 and 2024, FIG World Challenge Cup (2023 - Vault Silver Medalist) and FIG World Artistics Gymnastics Championships (2023 - 8th place, vault).  She competed at the Worlds Gymnastics Championships in 2022 for Team Hungary and was a Hungarian National Champion on vault in 2021and floor in 2018.
