LEXINGTON, Ky. --- Three individual Bulldogs and one Georgia relay team secured NCAA Outdoor Championship berths on the final day of competition for the men at the NCAA East Prelims on Friday.

Freshman Riyon Rankin was one of two high jumpers to clear 2.17 meters/7 feet, 1.50 inches on his first attempt, tying for first place in the event. In total, eight Bulldog men qualified for the NCAA Championships across seven events between Wednesday and Friday, including four event qualifiers today.

Rankin recorded a high jump of 2.17m/7-1.50 on his first attempt, sharing the regional title and punching his ticket to Eugene, Ore. The freshman became the first Bulldog of the day to qualify with his performance, clearing the bar on every jump he took.
Morales Williams posted a 400-meter dash time of 45.03 to place fourth in the quarterfinals and advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The sophomore won the opening heat to clinch his spot in Eugene and will look to follow up his NCAA Indoor Championship gold medal with another title in two weeks.
Gordon clocked a personal-best 10.05 in the 100m dash, winning his heat and placing sixth overall to advance to Nationals. The freshman sprinter clocked the No. 5 time in school history in the event, matching Cejhae Green's mark from the 2017 NCAA Championships.
The 4x100m relay squad of Larry, Gordon, McKenzie, and Morales Williams matched the No. 6 time in school history (39.29) to place 10^th and secure their spot in Oregon. The time marked the fastest by a Bulldog relay team this season.
Eight Bulldogs will compete in seven events in Eugene, Ore., at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in two weeks. The men's day one qualifiers who will join Rankin (high jump), Morales Williams (400m), Gordon (100m), and the 4x100m relay of Larry, Gordon, McKenzie, and Morales Williams in Oregon are Marc Minichello (javelin), Alexander Kolesnikoff (shot put), and Nikolai van Huyssteen (pole vault).

The Lady Bulldogs will wrap up the NCAA East Prelims on Saturday as Georgia looks to send up to 12 more qualifiers to the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
