Georgia Set to Host Mississippi State, No. 34 Ole Miss

ATHENS, Ga. —  The No. 7 Georgia women's tennis team will spend the last two weekends of the regular season at home, starting with hosting Mississippi State on Friday, April 5 at 5 p.m. ET followed by No. 34 Ole Miss on Sunday, April 7 at 1 p.m. ET, with both matches taking place at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
The Bulldogs (13-4, 8-1 SEC) will look to bounce back into the win column after splitting action over the last weekend trip, defeating No. 24 Alabama 4-1 before falling 4-3 to No. 16 Auburn.
For Friday's match, Georgia is 47-0 all-time against Mississippi State (10-12, 0-9 SEC) who are winless in Southeastern Conference play and 0-9 against ranked opponents.
As for Sunday's matchup, Georgia leads the all-time series against Ole Miss (10-7, 4-5 SEC) 44-10, winning 23 of the last 26 meetings against the Rebels. Ole Miss currently sits ninth in the SEC standings as the Rebels come off two losses last weekend on the road on the East Coast.
The Bulldogs are represented seven times in the latest ITA rankings.
In singles, Dasha Vidmanova leads the way at No. 20 followed by Alexandra Vecic (No. 35), Anastasiia Lopata (No. 77), Mell Reasco (No. 81) and Mai Nirundorn (No. 93).
Georgia has two pairs listed in the doubles rankings, led by No. 8 Aysegul Mert and Vidmanova followed by No. 41 Guillermina Grant and Nirundorn.
