Sophia Pilla Named NCEA Flat Rider of the Month

ATHENS, Ga. --- Senior Sophia Pilla on the No. 4 Georgia equestrian team has been named the National Collegiate Equestrian Association Flat Rider of the Month for her performances throughout February, the NCEA Selection Committee announced Wednesday.
The Ridgefield, Connecticut native went 3-0 and earned one Most Outstanding Performer honor in Georgia's three-straight Top-5 wins over Southeastern Conference foes. She scored an 81 against Texas A&M and South Carolina and an 87 against Auburn, averaging an 83.5 for the season.
Pilla and the Bulldogs completed the regular season with a 8-4 record and compete in the SEC Championship March 29-30 in College Station, Texas.
