Paulsell Into Round of 16, Named All-American

WACO, Texas – Senior Thomas Paulsell won his round of 32 match at the NCAA Singles Championships and was named an ITA All-American on Wednesday at the Hurd Tennis Center.
RESULTS:
Singles – Round of 32
No. 14 [9-16] Thomas Paulsell def. No. 82 Jamie Connel (Florida State), 6-2, 1-6, 6-1
Thirteenth win of the year; second of the tournament
Paulsell's third career NCAA singles tournament win
Earns ITA All-American nod
KEY QUOTE: "Tremendously proud of Thomas and really happy for him to accomplish his goal of becoming an All-American," said head coach Jamie Hunt. "You could see how much it meant to him after the last point. He did a great job managing the conditions in the third set and came up with two massive holds by playing very courageously. He's ready and excited for a big challenge tomorrow."
