Vidmanova, Vecic Earn Qualifying Round Wins at ITF W100 Macon

MACON, Ga. — Dasha Vidmanova and Alexandra Vecic each produced dominant performances to secure qualifying round victories at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center on Monday.

#22 Vecic opened the morning with a singles qualifying first round match against Julie Bedard. After trailing 4-0 in the opening set, Vecic rallied to come back to win seven of the next eight games to take the set 7-5. In the second, it was all Vecic as she cruised past Bedard to earn the set and match 7-5, 6-0.
#2 Vidmanova followed action in the early afternoon as she faced off against Margaret Sohns. Setting the tone early in the match, Vidmanova took control and never looked back, producing a stellar all-around performance as she blanked Sohns 6-0, 6-0 to advance to the qualifying second round.
