ATHENS, Ga. — The No. 1 Georgia women's tennis team (17-4, 12-3 SEC) defeated No. 55 Mississippi State (16-11, 4-11 SEC) 4-0 at the Dan Magil Tennis Complex in its final home match of the regular season.

Ahead of the match, Georgia recognized seniors Anastasiia Lopata, Sofia Rojas, Alexandra Vecic and Haley Gaudette.
Georgia improved to 50-0 in the all-time series against Mississippi State.
In doubles, No. 4 Deniz Dilek and Aysegul Mert finished first on court two with a 6-2 win over No. 37 Gianna Oboniye and Athina Pitta.
Emma Dong and Hayden Mulberry clinched the doubles point with a 7-5 win over Emma Cohen and Carolina Troiano, marking just their second win as a pair this season.
In singles, Lopata earned the first point after Oboniye retired from injury on court one with Lopata leading 4-3 in the first set.
No. 95 Dong was the first to finish on court four with a 6-3, 6-1 win, also marking her first time playing and winning at the No. 4 position.
