Three Bulldogs Named Academic All-District Team

ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia golfers Caroline Craig, Caterina Don and Isabella Holpfer have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team in the organization's At-Large category. The At-Large team covers female student-athletes competing in 12 different sports.
The Academic All-District honorees advance for the CSC Academic All-America ballot, where first-, second- and third-team Academic teams will be selected. The sports featured in the At-Large program as beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, golfer, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo.
Craig, a senior from Sautee Nachoochee, Ga., with a 3.84 GPA, graduated from Georgia in May with her degree in Sport Management. She also earned a Carmical Sports Media Certificate from the Grady College of Journalism. This season, Craig competed in six tournaments and recorded a stroke average of 74.47 and four par-or-better rounds. She posted a season-best finish to 10th individually at the Cougar Classic, where she notched a season-low 5-under 66 in the final round.
Don will return to the Bulldogs next season as a fifth-year senior. The Pinerolo, Italy, native sports a 3.91 GPA and is majoring in Mathematics. She competed in 12 events for Georgia and compiled a 74.15 average while signing for seven par-or-better rounds. Don captured medalist honors at the San Diego State Classic, one of four top-10 individual efforts she recorded during the 2022-23 season.
Holper is a junior from Vienna, Austria, who has compiled a 3.97 GPA and is majoring in Public Relations at UGA. She competed in seven tourneys with a 75.53 average, three par-or-better rounds and a pair of top-20 finishes last season, placing third at the Lady Bulldog Individual Championship and 14th at the NCAA Athens Regional.
Georgia finished 14th at the 2023 NCAA Championships, the Bulldogs' third-straight top-20 effort at the national championships. The Bulldogs won the 2023 Athens Regional, their third Regional title in the last eight seasons, and Bulldogs Jenny Bae, Don and Jo Hua Hung combined to secure four individual victories.
Georgia gymnasts Amanda Cashman and Sandra Elsadek also were named to the At-Large All-District team.
