Five Bulldogs Set for NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships

LAKE NONA, Fla. – A pair of Georgia women's tennis All-Americans — No. 3 seed Lea Ma and No. 4 seed Dasha Vidmanova — join Bulldog sophomore Mell Reasco in the NCAA singles championship, while Guillermina Grant and Mai Nirundorn are set for doubles action at the USTA National Campus.
Singles begins on Monday, with Vidmanova set to take on Kit Guliher from North Florida at 9 a.m., before Reasco takes on No. 8 seed Reese Brantmeier from North Carolina at 10:30 a.m. Ma will play California's Jessica Alsola at 2:30 p.m.
Grant and Nirundorn begin doubles action on Tuesday against UNC's Fiona Crawley and Carson Tanguilig.
Ma, ranked No. 3 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), holds a 30-7 overall record with wins over 14 ranked opponents, including 10 top-50 victories. In the fall, Ma claimed the ITA Southeast Region Championship.
Vidmanova, ranked No. 4 by the ITA, boasts a team-best 31-6 overall record with wins over 15 ranked opponents, including 10 top-50 victories. Earlier this year, she was named to the ITA National Team Indoors All-Tournament Team and ITA National Team Indoors Most Outstanding Player.
Reasco, ranked No. 63 by the ITA, has a 23-6 overall record and has logged seven wins against ranked opponents, including three top-50 wins. She previously earned All-American honors in 2022.
In doubles action, Grant and Nirundorn are 21-10 on the season, with four ranked wins and are currently ranked No. 25 in the ITA rankings.
A Bulldog has won the NCAA singles championship three times (1984 Lisa Spain, 1994 Angela Lettiere, and 2010 Chelsey Gullickson) in program history.
