WALNUT, Calif. --- Georgia competitors wrapped up the heptathlon and decathlon as the Mt. SAC Relays continued Thursday with temperatures hovering in the 50s.

Bulldog throwers also lined up at the Cal State LA Twilight meet and departed with a pair of wins in the shot put.

Freshman Ella Rush started her first collegiate heptathlon off in 11th place after day one.  Following the final three events on day two, Rush tallied 5,422 points to finish in ninth on Thursday.

Kyle Garland posted two personal records, including a collegiate all-time best in the shot put, en route to scoring 4,507 points for the lead in the decathlon on Wednesday.  However, Garland did not reach a height in the pole vault, which is the eighth of 10 events, and did not compete in the final two events (javelin, 1500m).
