Trio of Bulldogs Reach Finals at Zones

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Three members of the University of Georgia diving team reached finals on the third day of competition at the 2023 NCAA Zone B Diving Championships Tuesday at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center.
Sophomores Allen Mann and Nolan Lewis reached the men's platform final, with Mann finishing 16th with a score of 639.10, including a 61.50 on his fourth dive. Lewis finished 18th with a mark of 606.55. In prelims, Mann ranked 10th with a score of 338.25, while Lewis placed 17th at 305.55.
In the women's 3-meter competition, freshman Hannah Stumpf finished 18th with a final score of 572.80, closing out her afternoon with a 56.00 on her final dive. In prelims, Stumpf placed 16th with a score of 288.60, nearly surpassing her personal-best mark in the event.
Zones conclude tomorrow with the women's platform competition at 11 a.m. Junior Meghan Wenzel will compete for Georgia, needing only a top-12 finish to qualify for the NCAA Championships following her sixth-place finish on 1-meter.
