Naya Howard Named SEC Co-Freshman of the Week

ATHENS, Ga. --- University of Georgia gymnast Naya Howard has been named the Southeastern Conference Co-Freshman of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.
Howard competed all-around for the ninth time this season in Georgia's meet against Arkansas. She received her second-best all-around score to finish second overallwith a 39.425. Howard is the first Georgia freshman to compete all-around since 2017 and has competed the most since Courtney Kupets in 2006. She ranks 11th in the SEC overall and second all-around freshman.
Also against Arkansas, Howard notched a career high on bars (9.925). She received a 9.825 on vault and beam and scored a 9.850 for her floor routine.
Howard and the GymDogs are set to finish regular season competition against Michigan on Friday, March 10 at the Gas South Arena at 7 p.m.
