
Georgia To Conclude Regular Season Competition at Texas A&M

ATHENS, Ga. --- The No. 6 University of Georgia equestrian team is set to close out regular season competition on the road at No. 4 Texas A&M on Saturday, March 4 at the Hildebrand Equine Center in College Station, Texas.  The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. CT.Â

The Bulldogs are 23-10 all-time against the Aggies with a 7-6 record in College Station.  Earlier this season, Georgia beat Texas A&M at home with a final score of 10-8. Â

Georgia sits at 5-6 overall with a 2-3 mark in SEC play while Texas A&M is 7-4 on the season and 3-2 against conference opponents. Â

Junior Sophia Pilla received NCEA and SEC Flat Rider of the Month honors after going 5-0 throughout February.  She rode to scores of 87 and above in four of the five meets and defeated her opponents by an average of 9.8 points. The Ridgefield, Connecticut native won Most Outstanding Performance honors at home to start the month in an upset win over South Carolina. Her score of 99 is tied for the best score in program history, making her only the third Bulldog to achieve the near-perfect mark and the first since 2019.

Other notable Bulldogs include Jumping Seat riders Emma Reichow and Ceci Bresch and Western riders Jordan Davis, Sara Lewis, and Courtney Blumer.  Reichow jumped to a score of 92 against South Carolina- her best score in Fences and the highest Fences mark from a Bulldog since 2019. Bresch rode to two scores of 97 in Flat in the same day against South Carolina and Sweet Briar. The scores matched her career best that she previously set in her freshman year, also against Sweet Briar. Â
