Augenstein Leads Bulldogs Distance Corps At Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. --- The Bulldogs' Charlotte Augenstein ran one of her school's top-10 times in history to wrap up the Raleigh Relays Friday for the Bulldogs.
 
Augenstein, an Albany, Ga., native, registered the ninth-best 1500 meters time in school history to complete her race in the top 20.

The Lowdown: Augenstein trimmed six seconds off her previous personal best in the 1500m to take 20th with a 4:22.08.  Simon Rojas also completed the race with the fastest time of her career (4:29.92) for 63rd place while Lily Cincole posted a personal record (4:38.78) to take 132nd in the 185-woman field.
 
Another top-20 finish came as Gracie O'Neal took 20th in the 3000m steeplechase after she completed her laps in 10:56.64 and her teammate Lorel Golden finished five spots behind with a 11:06.93.
 
Up Next: The Bulldogs return to work at the Texas Relays in Austin on March 30-April 1.  Georgia will return to the University of Texas for the NCAA Outdoor Championships at the end of the season.
