ATHENS, Ga. --- The University of Georgia equestrian team is back in action on Saturday, February 4 as the No. 7 Bulldogs welcome No. 5 South Carolina to the UG Equestrian Complex.  Georgia's Jumping Seat squad will then take on Sweet Briar later that day.  Competition is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. against South Carolina and 3:30 p.m. against Sweet Briar.

Previously this season, Georgia dropped a close contest to the Gamecocks, 10-9.  In that meet, junior Nora Andrews and sophomore Jillian Stopperich won Most Outstanding Performer honors for their rides. Andrews' Flat score of 82 earned her the honors for the second time this season, the third of her career. Stopperich rode to a score of 76.5 in Horsemanship, her best of the year, to earn her the distinction also for the second time this season, the fourth of her career.

Georgia holds a 36-18 advantage in all-time meetings against South Carolina, including an 16-3 mark at home in Bishop.

Georgia last faced Sweet Briar in February of last year on the road.  The Bulldogs won that meet, 7-3.
