Bulldogs in 14th at Southern Highlands

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The University of Georgia men's golf team carded a 7-over-par 295 on Monday, falling one spot to 14th in the team standings following the second round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate at Southern Highlands Golf Club.
The 15-team field at the Southwestern Invitational features nine teams that are ranked in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches poll. No. 3 North Carolina holds the 36-hole team lead with a two-round total of 20-under-par 556 (271-285). No. 15 Texas is second at 16-under-par 560 (283-277), while No. 16 Pepperdine is third at 12-under-par 564 (278-286). The Bulldogs hold a 36-hole total of 9-over-par 585 (290-295). Austin Greaser of UNC and Yuxin Lin of Florida hold the 36-hole individual lead at 10-under-par 134.
Sophomore Maxwell Ford paced the Bulldogs with a second-round even-par 72, while senior Connor Creasy and sophomore Buck Brumlow each carded rounds of 2-over-par 74. Ford and Brumlow are tied for 38th with a 36-hole total of 2-over-par 146. Senior Ben van Wyk recorded a 3-over-par 75. van Wyk is tied for 47th in the individual standings with a 36-hole total of 3-over-par 147. Creasy is tied 54th at 4-over-par 148.
Junior Caleb Manuel and freshman Carter Loflin each tallied rounds of 5-over-par 77 and sit tied for 63rd with a 36-hole total of 5-over-par 149.
