Georgia to Host SMU on Senior Day

ATHENS, Ga. --- The No. 5 University of Georgia equestrian team is set to host top-ranked SMU on Friday, February 24 at the UGA Equestrian Complex with competition beginning at 11 a.m.

This marks the final home meet of the season for the Bulldogs who will honor their seniors with Senior Day celebrations following competition.

Georgia is 5-2 against SMU since 2014 when the Mustang program transitioned to dual discipline.  The Bulldogs have won both matchups at home.

After starting the spring with a win over South Carolina and Sweet Briar (Jumping Seat Only), the Bulldogs dropped two road contests at Oklahoma State and Auburn.

The Mustangs opened their spring slate with back-to-back victories over UT Martin, first at home and then on the road.  The team is competing against three top-10 SEC schools in as many days this week.  SMU will face South Carolina on Thursday before coming to Georgia, and finish the trip at Auburn on Saturday.
