The Wildcats held on to win the fifth set and the match. Georgia then hit the road for its third-straight match against a ranked opponent on Sunday, taking on No. 24 Auburn. Once again, the Bulldogs went down 2-0 in the match after dropping sets one and two 25-23. The Dogs avoided a sweep taking the third set. Auburn won the battle in the end in four sets.

A Look at What's Ahead
Georgia's three-match road swing concludes Oct. 11 when the Bulldogs travel east to Columbia, South Carolina to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks. First serve is set for 6 p.m., ET, live on ESPNU. Georgia then returns to Athens to host LSU Oct. 15.

Georgia to Return to Stegeman Coliseum
The University of Georgia Athletic Association announced Georgia volleyball will return to Stegeman Coliseum in October. Updates are currently being made to technical and electronic aspects that affect the match day experience and ensure UGAAA is in compliance with all NCAA and SEC requirements. As soon as those updates are completed, UGAAA will host all remaining volleyball matches in Stegeman Coliseum.

Welcome to the Double Grand Club
In the first set at Auburn on Oct. 1, Kacie Evans recorded her 1,000th career dig, becoming the 22nd member of Georgia's 1,000 Dig Club. Additionally, she also secured Double Grand Club status with her more than 1,500 career kills, becoming Georgia's 15th all-time member of that club.

Currently with 1,829 career points, Evans is on track to join all-time greats Priscilla Pacheco (3,018.0), Julia Petruschke (2,264.5), Nikki Nicholson (2,157.0), and Maria Taylor (2,020.0) in the 2,000 Point Club. She now ranks eighth all time in career kills with 1,564. She also ranks top 10 in career attacks and aces.

Point, Sophie!
