Georgia Stands Sixth at Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic

LAHAINA, Hawaii — The Georgia men's golf team ended day two of the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic tied for sixth place after shooting one-over par on Friday at the Royal Kā'anapali Course.
Junior Buck Brumlow paced the Bulldogs during round two on the par-71, 6,700-yard layout, shooting a 70 to put him at four-under 138 and tied for 24th. As a team, Georgia is now 17-under 551, tying it with host Hawaii just outside the top five. Liberty stands alone atop the team leaderboards at 34-under 534, followed by East Tennessee State and Oklahoma who are tied for second at 29-under 539.
Brumlow added five birdies on Friday, putting his tournament total at 11, the fourth-most of anyone in the field. Graduate Ben van Wyk shot par to stay in the top 20 of the individual leaderboards. The George, South Africa native stands tied for 19th at five-under 137.
Graduate Connor Creasy held his spot in the top-20 as well, carding one-over to tie for 16th with a six-under 136. Camden Smith, a freshman, also shot one over, putting him at two-under 140. Graduate Beck Burnette had the team's non-counting score during the second round with a 73 and now stands at even par 142.
Individually, Carter Loflin had an impressive stretch on the front nine going four-under, ending the round with a par 71 to put his total at four-over 146. JT Herman again shot a 75 and is eight-over 150 heading into the final day.
The Bulldogs will conclude the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET. This event marks the final fall competition for Georgia, who previously played in the Valero Texas Collegiate, SEC Match Play Hosted by Jerry Pate and the Ben Hogan Collegiate.
